Privacy Policy
Ledger Lens is operated by S&N Enterprises Ltd, New Zealand. We follow the Privacy Act 2020. Last updated 3 November 2026.
What we hold about you
- Your account: name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) password. We cannot see your password.
- Usage: how many IM checks you have used each month, and when you log in.
- A record each time you confirm you are allowed to use an IM: the date and time only.
What we do not hold
- Your IMs or other documents. They are read once and not stored on our servers.
- The figures from your IMs. These are saved in your own browser. They are sent to our server only to work out your results, and are not kept.
- The document or its contents in our logs.
Who else sees your information
If you choose "Private" reading, the IM never leaves your device. If you choose "Detailed", its text, or page images for scanned pages, is sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, in the United States. Anthropic processes it only to give us the reading, does not train its models on it, and keeps it only for a short time for safety checks. Our website and database are hosted by Render in Singapore. Anthropic and Render act for us as service providers under contracts that require them to protect the information; we stay responsible for it under the Privacy Act. We do not sell your information or share it with brokers, sellers or advertisers.
Why we hold it
To run your account, enforce the monthly allowance, stop misuse, and show we take confidential documents seriously.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details, usage and confirmation records while you have an account, so we can show how confidential documents were handled if a seller or broker asks. When you delete your account, we delete all of them. Log-in sessions expire after 30 days.
Cookies
We use one cookie, to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The page loads fonts from Google and the PDF reader from Cloudflare, which see your IP address but not your documents.
Security and breaches
Passwords are hashed, connections to the site are encrypted, and access to the database is limited to us. If a privacy breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as soon as practicable, as the Privacy Act requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account. Contact our Privacy Officer at S&N Enterprises Ltd: privacy@ledgerlens.co.nz. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
Removing your data
To remove an IM's figures from your device, use "Remove this IM from this device" in the app, or clear this site's data in your browser. To delete your account and usage records, contact us and we will do it.
